New Patients
New patients are welcome at Wallarah Bay Medical Centre, subject to approval by the practice. Please contact us on (02) 4394 0866 before booking to confirm your eligibility. Alternatively, submit a new patient enquiry via our New Patient Registration form.
Appointments
Appointments can be booked:
- Online 24/7: Book via AutoMed Systems
- Phone: (02) 4394 0866 — Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
Appointment Types Available:
- Standard Consultation (15 minutes): For one primary health concern or routine check-ups
- Long Consultation (20+ minutes): For multiple health concerns, complex medical issues, or comprehensive health assessments. Please inform our reception team when booking if you require extra time.
- Follow-up Appointment: For discussing test results, monitoring chronic conditions, or follow-up care
- Telehealth (Video/Phone): Available for certain conditions. When booking, select "Telehealth" if you prefer a video or phone consultation
If you need to discuss multiple issues or require a longer consultation, please inform our reception team when booking.
Waiting Times
We aim to see all patients at their appointed time. However, medical emergencies or complex consultations may cause delays. We appreciate your patience. If you have been waiting more than 20 minutes, please let our reception team know.
Billing & Fees
From 1 November 2025, Wallarah Bay Medical Centre is a fully bulk billing practice for existing patients registered with My Medicare at our practice. See our Fees & Billing page for full details.
Results
Please do not call for results. Your doctor will notify you of any urgent results. Non-urgent results should be discussed at a follow-up appointment. Results will generally be available within 3–5 business days from the time of testing.
After Hours
Wallarah Bay Medical Centre is open Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. For after-hours medical assistance, please visit our After Hours page.
Repeat Prescriptions
Repeat prescriptions are available via our AutoMed online script request service for a fee of $25. Scripts are reviewed by your doctor and are not automatically issued — certain medications or conditions may require a face-to-face consultation.
Recalls & Reminders
Our practice operates a recall and reminder system to ensure patients receive appropriate preventive care and follow-up. You may receive SMS or letter reminders for health assessments, vaccinations, and chronic disease reviews. Please ensure your contact details are up to date.
